Our long style gate shoe. Gate shoes attach to the inside center of the bottom rail of the drop side. Used with “round” foot trip type foot release bars with the foot trip designs pictured to the right. This gate shoe resembles “wavy steps” and measures 1 1/2” from the top of the gate shoe plate where it attaches with wood screws to the first bend. Supplied with all necessary attaching fasteners.

Welcome to the metal gate shoe section of our online catalog. A gate shoe is a metal plate typically attached directly to the bottom wood rail of the moving side of the crib. Gate shoes engage with metal foot release bars at the foot trip part of the bar. Two gate shoes are required per moving foot release activated crib side. Our standard gate shoe for use with flat foot trips. Gate shoes attach to the inside center of the bottom rail of the drop side. Used with “flat” trip type foot release bars with the foot trip design pictured to the right. This gate shoe has one bend in almost the center of the plate and a small lip at the bottom of the plate. Supplied with all necessary attaching fasteners.

Q: “My crib’s foot release system does not resemble any of the stabilizing bars or gate shoes shown here, does Products America supply other designs?”
A: Your crib may have an older design foot release system which may need to be replaced with a newer design of hardware, or your crib might have proprietary release hardware that is only available through the original manufacturer, or your crib might function with a hand release system instead of a foot release system.
