Wood Screws
This type of screw is sometimes referred to as a “sheet metal” screw. (Yes, the screw is made of metal, not wood...) Wood screws range in size, length, color, head, and usage. Generally speaking, wood screws screw directly into the wood, you may need to drill holes to receive the screws if they are not present already. Definitions:
Machine Screw = Blunt end screw (bolt) that typically is used to attach larger metal hardware pieces and stationary (non-moving) side rails to headboard and footboard of crib. Machine screws must screw into a receiver (such as an insert, bushing or nut).
